Youtube Videos and more

Hello. Later this week I’m going to be posting some of my favorites. I’m in the process of creating a Youtube page for you all to watch videos and gets tips from me and my experiences at VIPKID. I don’t have too much to say about things nor am I an official mock teacher, but I hope if we can work together and gain referrals, I can get the opportunity to help you succeed.

Please be on the look out for this information and so much more. I’ll give you a tour of the PC Teacher App and some cool things to be on the look out for.  🙂 Coming soon!!! 🙂

If you’d like more information about VIPKID, feel free to comment below and send me a message. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. 🙂

A refreshing update.. 391 days and counting

Hi, I’m so sorry folks. I should be typing more on here to keep you up on all that is VIPKID.  However, I have failed and I am sorry, but I’m planning to change this and try to update at least once a week. I just got to motivate myself.

Today marks 391 days since I started with VIPKID. I feel much more comfortable with this program and I’m thinking about starting with another company soon that is also owned by the same parent company as VIPKID. I’ll keep you updated on that. I just can’t believe I’ve been doing this for that long. I also have to say I think my mind feels differently about classes than it did when I started too. I use to feel like I had to prepare so much to do a class. However, now I just review the slides and notes and if there is something grammatically I don’t understand I try to look up before class or if I forget I look it up as I do classes. I always prepare for the grammar and for math, because both can be challenging due to the material.

On Monday, this week, VIPKID announced the release of Level 7, which sounds really exciting. However, at this point in time, I’m not qualified for this level. I need to get a state teaching certificate and have some classroom experience. 😦 I’m sort of sad about this because I don’t have these things, but I’m going to try to work on getting my TESOL this year. I also have several other things to announce that VIPKID has been releasing, but I’ll save those for another blog posting. 🙂

On a personal update, I’ve been busy crafting away. If you haven’t seen my crafting blog check it out (#craftygabi #craftyintheberkshires) and my crafting  business instagram. I’ve been doing several commission projects. 🙂  To keep up with my VIPKID and personal activities, please check out my personal instagram page and please follow both accounts. I love to snap several shots a day if I can. I don’t always post, but when I’m bored I do. lol Would anyone be interested in me creating my own VIPKID Recruiting Facebook Page? Comment below if you’d all be interested in this idea. I hope that I can do some VIPKID videos and all kinds of stuff for you. I’ll be looking forward to seeing and chatting with all of you in the near future. 🙂

I hope to be able to come back to you next week and we’ll talk about some new features and my feelings on the VIPKID Interactive Level 1. 🙂 See you soon.

I’ve you are interested in joining VIPKID or want more information, please shoot me a comment below, email me and I’ll send you an information packet, or DM me on instagram. 🙂 I’ll eventually get back to you. I promise. 🙂

Happy Teaching!!!

Almost 180 days, And 10,000 minutes

Hi, everyone. Long time no blog, but I’m still teaching. I’ve been working most days and I was able to take a vacation for about 7 days. 🙂 I’m planning a review video of my latest adventure on my fun2test blog very soon.

Summer was a great time to get students, because I got to teach every other night a couple of classes. Peak times run from 9pm -10am EST every day from July-August !!! I even got Sunday Night classes although VIPKID did recommend it. 🙂 I made over $1000 in July because of the option to have night classes and catch up on the classes I was going to miss. I can plan better for next summer as well.

VIPKID even introduced there new summer classes. The TESOL classes were very different with a lot of independence on the child’s part. Very little talking from the teacher. It was for them to observe, do, reteach if necessary. Then at the end a free talk.  That was fun! Then they had summer camp, which allowed younger and less experienced students to freshen up on free talk skills and some fun topics to cover.

At this moment, I have a 4.96 apple standing with 92 parent feedback reviews. This is so important and so many parents forget to give you a rating. I try to think of creative ways in my feedback in order to get the parents to give me feedback back. 🙂 My apples are so important to me.

I had a 5 apple rating up to my vacation, but I accidentally was too tired from my cruise and started yawning in class and rubbing my eye subconsciously. Oops! It will take me now 100 feedbacks to get my 5 apples back. 😦 But I’m trying hard and doing  different teaching techniques that I saw from Nancy Taylor recently, to get more students to sign up and stay with me.

Most of my students are regulars now! Yippee. I love my regulars and I always get them to laugh and laugh.

In my next post, I’m going to post about the Peak Times that will be best based on your time zone and some groups to join once you get started. 🙂

Don’t forget to follow to stay up to date on the latest. I’m going to try to post more often. 🙂 If you would like to sign up please click my link here (My Code is: 028RC8) and also snap me an email, if you need more information or feel a little nervous. If you sign up and join VIPKID, I’ll send you an information packet email jammed packed with information in order to succeed in the interview.

That is all for now… Happy Teaching!!!
